Many of our staff have been with the practice for 5 or more years, some more than 10, others more than 15 and even 20! The hospital is open 7 days a week, meeting the various scheduling needs of the busy lives of our employees. The animal care specialist team cares directly for the pets in our charge. They walk, feed, bath pets as well as interact with clients at check-in and check-out, also talking phone calls from clients during a pets stay to give updates on a pets vacation. They facilitate birthday parties for boarding pets as well as summer outdoor splash sessions during hot weather days. Experience is helpful but not required. The ACS team is currently looking to add a full-time member to their staff, available to work weekdays but also to alternate into the weekend schedule.

Thinking of a career in the veterinary field but have no experience?

Working in our Animal Care Specialist department is a great place to start your career. You'll get your foot in the door of a progressive veterinary practice and get to see all the behind the scenes action in a veterinary hospital. Also you will be trained in phlebotomy, fluid administration, proper patient handling techniques, canine and feline behavior, observe and assist in ultrasound, and radiology. ACS hires are accepted 15 years of age and older, some restrictions on activities such as radiology apply to those persons under the age of 18 years.
