GROOMING services at Countryside Veterinary Hospital are done with compassion, caring and great skill. Our grooming staff are committed to making your pet's grooming experience as stress free as possible, while providing your pet with a stunning look and style that you will be proud to show off to your friends and family, and they'll be proud to strut around the neighborhood. Grooming services are provided 7 days a week and are offered for both dogs and cats, days and evenings!

Countryside's state of the art grooming facility houses a hydrosurge bathing system, and a clippervac trimming system. The hydrosurge bathing system unit is a jacuzzi-like jet action hand held bathing unit that soothes the skin and cleansdeep down to the base of the haircoat to remove more loose hair and dirt than standard bathing alone. Our clippervac system is a vacumm designed to attach to the shaving clippers that helps remove further trapped hair when trimming, providing your pet with an all around more even, finished final look.

Among the many services we offer, one of our most favorable services according to our clients is our flexible drop off and pick up hours. We offer various drop off times during the day including mornings, afternoons and evenings with corresponding pick up times that lessen the length of time your pet spends in the parlor for the day. Our hospital is open until 8pm most evenings, except Saturdays until 4pm and Sundays until 2pm, and your pet is welcome to stay with us in our boarding facility for no extra charge until closing time should your schedule require.

The added benefit of being part of a veterinary hospital is that your pet can have it's annual examination and vaccinations (should they be due) done on the same day as your scheduled grooming. You can choose to be present for the veterinary procedures, or to have us schedule them daily Monday through Saturday during our in-patient examination schedule. All pets scheduled for IPE's (In-Patient Exams) go home with an exam report card and clients receive a personal discussion with our technical staff of the doctors findings when their pet is picked up from the parlor. If a serious medical condition is detected you will be notified immediately by the veterinarian by phone to discuss the issue and plans for treatment should they be necessary.

For those pups whose breed coat specifications predisposes them to multiple groomings per year, we offer a Puppy Grooming Series. The Puppy Grooming Series is for the young dog who has not yet visited a grooming parlor and who would benefit from getting used to the sites and sounds of the parlor before their actual first grooming. This service has been beneficial in helping dogs who will require frequent groomings throughout their lifetimes, to be much more relaxed and comfortable with the grooming environment beforebeing officially groomed. In the first 3 visits of this 4 visitseries, your puppy will be exposed to the tub, the bathing system, the hair dryers, the clippers, standing on the grooming table, minor clipping, other dogs and all around general goings on of theparlor. On the 4th visit your puppy will recieve his/her first full grooming. The biggest benefit of this service is that your pup will be eased into the grooming process and will come to know that the grooming procedure is not a scarey place, but instead a place to enjoy. This will lower your pet's stress level at the parlor, speeds up the process of grooming as he/she will be used to standing still on the grooming tables and all that goes with it.

Every pet groomed in our parlor leaves the facility with their own personalized grooming report card. This report card rates your pet on subjects such as his/her stress level, behavior, etc., as well as listing any special grooming notes that apply to your pet's grooming services that day. These report cards provide another communication link, that further enhances the personal connection between you and your pet's groomer.

Lastly, for the safety of the pets in our grooming parlor, we require proof of your pet's vaccine history prior to admission into the parlor (dogs: bordetella, rabies, DHLPP ((distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parinfluenza, parvovirus)) & cats: feline distemper, rabies) and proof of a negative heartworm test (dogs) and a negative fecal sample (dogs & cats) within the past year of the date of the scheduled grooming. This along with our high disinfecting and cleanliness standards, promotes good hygiene and enhances your pets safety.
