Mission: As veterinarians, we strive to implement the cutting edge advancements in veterinary medicine, surgery, and dentistry so that we can be depended to provide unrivaled veterinary care in our community. Our vision then is to provide this state-of- the-art care in a personal, warm, and compassionate manner to our patients and their families.  We  strive  to  combine  the  best  attributes  of  a  progressive  multi-doctor practice, with the warmth and familiarity of a "small town" practice.

Dr.HolubBrian Holub: Dr. Brian Holub acts as hospital administrator and is a full-time veterinarian at the practice. He received his Bachelor's of Science in 1979 from the University of Cincinnati, and is a 1983 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Holub was a staff veterinarian at Bedford Animal Hospital (in Bedford, NH) and Hudson Animal Hospital (in Hudson, NH), and was also a veterinarian for Benson's Wild Animal Farm, formerly of Hudson N.H. He has been owner and hospital administrator of Countryside Veterinary Hospital since 1985.

Stemming from his experience and education, he has adapted many progressive programs into his hospital over the years, including but not limited to the treatment of exotics, ultrasonography, laser surgery, digital radiography, physical therapy and laparoscopy. He is a member of the Veterinary Laser Society, a Winn Feline Foundation grant reviewer, and a member of the Hills Veterinary Diets Advisory Board.

Among his many special interests, Dr. Holub has incorporated advanced dental surgery into the practice and is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society. Above and beyond the latest advancements in ultrasound scaling and polishing, he performs restoration, bonding, gingival flap surgery, and endodontics (root canals) to help your pet keep it's perfect smile.

His interest in continuing education extends beyond the boundaries of the hospital. He is a clinical instructor at Tufts College of Veterinary Medicine for first year veterinary students, in "Problem Based Learning".

Dr. Holub was a breeder of pedigreed American Shorthair Cats for over 23 years, fueling his special interest in pedigree cat medicine, multiple cat environments and feline reproduction. He is currently a medical advisor and grant reviewer for the Winn Feline Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that funds feline medical research.

Dr. Holub and his late wife Cindie have four sons. He himself and all four of his boys hold the ranking of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Holub still volunteers and gives back of his time and advice to Boy Scout Troup #159, where he is an Assistant Scoutmaster. Our hospital offers tours to all members of the scouts, both boys and girls, to help them earn badges to progress in the organization, as well as to help them learn about the various career opportunities available in the veterinary field. He is a proud volunteer ski instructor for New England Disabled Sports at Loon Mountain. And spends most of his winter weekends on the mountain helping disabled persons learn to ski.

Dr. Holub cares strongly about the patients, clients, hospital, employees and families of Countryside Veterinary Hospital. His vision is and has always been to provide exceptional customer service and progressive veterinary care to Countryside’s clientele, keeping the best interest of the patient first and foremost.

Dr. Cindie Davis HolubDr. Cindie Davis Holub: Cindie started the practice with her husband Dr. Brian Holub in 1985. She attended New Albany High School in Ohio, and received her veterinary degree from Ohio State Univeristy in 1983.

It was in college at Ohio State University, that she met her husband of 28 years Dr. Brian Holub, while both in veterinary school. They married in June of 1982. Over the years, Cindie practiced at Countryside in addition to helping manage and build the practice until her death on February 28, 2010.

Along with her many contributions to the hospital, she was an avid horseman and kept her beloved horse Orion at Volo Farm in Westford, MA. She was accomplished in many equestrian activities. She was a triathelete and had run in many marathons, several half marathons, and several triathalons. Running 3 triathalons just last year alone, it was during training for her first upcoming ironman triathalon this year, when she had her accident.

Cindie was someone that always had an infectious smile and a beautiful laugh. She lit up a room when she walked in and always had a kind word for everyone she met.
She was very proud of her husband and her children and was strongly devoted to her family and friends. She also doted fondly on her beloved great dane Penelope and her horse Orion.

An avid runner, the Westford Charitable Foundation, Inc., 2010 Westford Road Race is dedicated to the memory of Cindie Holub.

Dr. Julie KopserDr. Julie Kopser: Dr. Julie Kopser is a graduate of Tufts University in N. Grafton, MA. She performed her internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, and became an integral part of our hospital when she joined our staff in 1994.

She has enhanced our hospital with a passion for her work and her love of learning. Dr. Kopser provides medical, surgical services for dogs, cats and exotic pets. Medical services include general medicine, ultrasound, echocardiography and chemotherapy. Surgical services include soft tissue and orthopedics such as patellar luxation repair and cruciate repair. One of the most exciting and rewarding cases that Dr. Kopser has treated combined both medicine and surgery. Using echocardiography, she diagnosed a four month old puppy with a serious heart defect (patent ductus arteriosis) and was then able to surgically correct the defect with the help of the skilled team of CVH employees.

Along with her veterinary duties, she organizes the student externship program for veterinary students on rotation through our hospital. She has served as a clinical instructor in the ultrasound teaching lab for 3rd year veterinary students at Tufts University. She also furthers her own studies by attending continuing education programs in the fields of cardiology, emergency medicine, surgery and oncology.

Her bedside manner is impeccable. Though she loves working with patients and their owners on a one on one basis, she admits that surgery is one of her favorite veterinary duties. She is extremely thorough and can be counted on to give her undivided and complete attention to the pet and task at hand.

When Dr. Kopser is not working at Countryside, she thoroughly enjoys being a mom, farming with her husband at a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), hiking and maintaining trails in her town with her retired greyhound, and training and competing in triathlons with her mom.
